Last night at 8pm 2 people attempted to break into my house by using a crow bar to rip the grill off, I was in and screamed at them, they ran off, be aware, they had removed the movement sensor lights off the walls

So sorry to hear of such a frightening experience, it is terrible that such things seem to be on the increase. Thanks for sharing and making people aware of the need for vigilance. If possible please ensure that you report it to the Police. Stay safe.

Hello Lyn

That's a horrible  experience you had last night, thankfully you are intact & your property can be secured again.

I know from working experience, it's the time of year for an increase in these type of crimes. People who are desperate in normal times are even more desperate pre Xmas with no money & no  thought for the circumstances of the victims. They really will try anything & you have to try & be one step ahead at all times.

Posts like yours are often a wake up call to anyone who has got a bit  less  discerning about their security, so really good that you posted the warning

Take care

Elinspain

Hi Lyn

Sorry to hear of that particular experience and glad you managed to scare them off. Like another comment on here I hope you reported them to the police in the hope that they will keep on alert around the area.

These people just do not care about anyone and I hope it hasn't upset you too much despite the scary experience. Fair play for your quick thinking and shouting. If you have got an alarm in the house it may be worth getting a panic button installing that you can operate to set off the alarm. Sounds daft but I used to keep a couple of air horns around that could be quickly set off.

Where about on the urb did this happen?
