I think Argos has already won the battle for the best seasonal TV advert.
Who on earth watches adverts?
Then why read the post and bother to comment.

Hi Think I will wait for my favourite John Lewis, or if the wee carrots make an appearance this year (Aldi) before deciding lol

I haven’t seen the advert yet and will watch out for it.
The John Lewis ad last year was brilliant...the Elton John one incase you have forgotten. My daughter took me to the big Oxford Street store to see where they had filmed the advert. On the top floor, they had set it up like a cinema and had the entrance and exit cordoned off with rope. A young lady gave us tickets and every 15 minutes ,another group were allowed to visit the set . It was magical,to say the least. We were allowed to try on props used and take pictures of ourselves. Top hat, make up, champagne bottles and all sorts of paraphernalia strewn in front of the huge make up mirror. There were various other sets and we ended up in a copy of Elton’s own drawing room which was very elegant to say the least. My grandchildren had such fun playing his piano and prancing around the place. There were boxes of sweets..either Quality Street or Roses ( can’t remember which) provided for us to eat too! It was a marvellous experience and thankfully, my daughter had read about it in the newspaper and thought I might enjoy visiting it...which I did, great fun to say the least. Well done John Lewis.
Perhaps I will get to visit your Argos one when I am over in London in December.
