Every month is a sober month to me. I don't drink alcohol at all , and don't see the point in drinking it, especially when you drink to excess and go on a bender. I've never understood the Northern European attitude to drink to get drunk, but maybe that's just me I suppose.

Hi.
Well yes that's just you as you say as everyone is different.
I enjoy a drink to unwind especially after a stressful day. I also like the taste of certain ales especially as they have become more popular over the last few years.
I don't intentionally drink to get drunk but it just sort of happens sometimes. Its nice to be tipsy but I agree I don't like the feeling of been s**tf***d at all. With this comes the embarrassment sometimes if we have behaved inappropriately but I'm big enough to understand and make allowances.
Each to their own as we say.

Gerard , I think the original post was just a light hearted humourous quote, and not meant as an advocate to everybody to get drinking.... ! 👍
