I like to cook.......a lot. Is there an asian type grocery store anywhere near to buy the unusual which is not available in Mercadona?
Have been spoilt living in Brixton for 28 years! :)
I've used Fuxin SL in Elche before and there is a car park opposite. Since searching for your answer I can see there is another in Callosa that I will try in the future and the Taj Indian Supermarket in Torrevieja. Alas, at the moment, a step too far.

Hi (& this is going some years ago, as the chap, now closed used to buy) from: Supermercado asiatico, Carrer Italia, 15, 03003 Alacant, Alicante. Also somewhere in Crevillente (north African spices).
Have a google about.

Not sure if this is helpful or not, depending on what you’re after. Our local market has a fantastic stall; every herb and spice I’ve ever needed. Beyond that, you’re right, it’s quite challenging. I sometimes resort to bringing it in a suitcase. Not fresh before anyone asks 😂🤪🥂

Taj is a great little supermarket, but it is a nightmare to park anywhere near it. You could consider spicesofindia.co.uk, they do mail order and will send to Spain

Absolutely get the need for unique ingredients! If you're into cooking a lot, exploring an Asian food store is a game-changer. Brixton sounds like it offered a great culinary scene.
