We would most likely get our children to attend the local State school (I know this will be very hard on them to start with but feel they will learn the language quicker and also we will not have the funds for fees at international school). I would really appreciate any advice or tips that you think would be helpful. We are very excited about moving to Spain but also I'm worried about my children education and finding work.

Honestly you would be very naive to come and live in Spain under the circumstances you speak off .... your poor children would suffer most as they would be completely lost with the language barrier at that age ...

If you are lucky enough to find a job there are no contracts and after 3 months they will let you go ...

The minimum wage is 600 Euro per month which is the usual wage for most .... Then you have so much red tape and you would have to pay a translator for around a year ....

And lots more monies required....

Be honest with yourself let the children finish there education save up very hard and come to spain for 3 or 4 weeks at a time ...

And lastly you have to prove to the Spanish authorities you won’t be living of their country...
