Hi, we are looking to move to the La Romana area next March/April 23.

Our main concern if for our 17 year old son, he love meeting new people and playing football are there many people his own age and is there a football team he could join. His Spanish is virtually non existent but will be taking lessons.

Thanks

Madcarew

There is a thriving football club in Alguena. Great facilities and very welcoming. I was at the match yesterday, they play home games every other Sunday.

There are youth teams and professional coaches and match days are well supported with a few ex pats in attendance. There is a cafe bar on site and everyone is very friendly. It is 3 euros to enter, I suggest that you take a look.

Hiya,

Thank you so much for your response, we are coming out again in the next couple of weeks so will definitely take a look.

As long as he has football and can meet some English speaking people his own age to start with it will help him to readjust and settle and the rest will come in time.

Thanks again

Alex
