Does anyone on this forum live year round in La Romana? I am purchasing a house there shortly just wondering how many expats don’t return home in the winter. On a different note, I currently live in Germany and will permanently move there next June. I have a pickup with a trailer if anyone needs anything transported from the Frankfurt area. No charge as I am going that way anyway.

Hi, I live in the campo in La Romana and have done for 16 years, the village has several bars/restaurants, medical centre, 2 chemists, hiperber supermarket plus 3 smaller grocery stores, Saturday market, plus other commercial outlets. The park has a small sports centre and communal pool (summer) and the town hall organizes quite a few events, although not during COVID restrictions.
