Big thank you and I very much appreciate you sharing your experience and brave words of wisdom....  Hope UPS and Amazon UK have taken note.

Hi

If you're in Spain, why would you order from Amazon.co.uk? I've never had a problem with Amazon.es.

Cheers

Steve

I ordered a new laptop and prefer an English operating system. And instructions.

Oh I see.

However, it is easy for those with a little knowledge to buy a laptop in Spain and set it up with English language, and you won't need to change the plug!

If you don't fancy DIY, take it to a local computer shop and get them to do it. I know that Mediamarkt offer this kind of service. But this will still leave you with a Spanish-style keyboard.

But then do you actually need a laptop? I gave up on them years ago - android tablets are much better for most things, and can be much cheaper. If you don't like the touch screen keyboard you can get a separate wireless keyboard.

Hope I've helped!

Steve

The only delivery company that I have had problems with is SEUR.   I use Amazon.es (Prime membership - cheaper than the UK) and their delivery service is excellent - have always had a delivery on the day that they advised.   Have never heard of the other delivery company.

I use a laptop every day and have done so for twenty years, even when on an extended holiday.

No tablets for me.

If you live in the Campo Amazon will need an address in town like the post office or a postal collection shop. Never heard of Ali delivery service. I live in a town and Amazon deliver direct to my door

Do you use Amazon Spain, and also Amazon Prime?

AliExpress website is:  << https://www.aliexpress.com/ >>

My only problem with Amazon in the UK, or amazon.es, is avoiding subscription to Amazon Prime.

I ordered a bed from AliExpress which never arrived in the UK.

I ordered a phone cover for myself in Spain and my family in the UK.

Neither arrived. Happy Christmas. Your present is in China.

I got full refunds after about 6 weeks.

I have used Amazon.es a few times. Saves on paying import duty.
