"but I will always support the U.K. for giving me everything I have got"
I am a Brit who lives in Spain but I wouldn't say the UK "gave" me anything. Everything I have got I have earned through hard work.

As a matter of interest, were you educated in the U.K.? I presume it was free unless you attended a private school. As a child, you will have received free dental treatment and free medical treatment. I was educated and reared in the Rep.of Ireland and my father had to pay for everything including one hospital stay when I was 12. I’m sorry to say, but you have a short memory.

Nothing is "free".
All is paid for (as you described) but actually by tax payers, hard work & then, support by distribution by their elected government (s).[health, education, Finance, ongoing political changes & military commitments] N.I. UK, EU, Spain, incl. etc...etc.

Living in Ireland everyone who works pays tax but that doesn’t mean you get free medical treatment or education. It may have changed now but that’s how it was when I was growing up.
Everyone pays tax in every country. Yes, you pay tax in the U.K. but you get free education, free medical care and so much more. So many pensioners get all their medication free of charge, not so in Rep of Ireland. You’d be means tested. In Spain, people under pensionable age have to buy health insurance You buy it by choice if living over here. My husband paid into Bupa for a lifetime and thankfully we never had to claim. The NHS hasn’t let us down yet. We have wonderful GP’s and receive excellent care. I’m personally very thankful for everything available to us regardless of what taxes we pay.

You should read this. Why do the British think they are above the law. This is the very reason the UK left the EU to tighten immigration:

Hi,
out of interest, what makes you ask - "why do the British think they are above the law"?

Steve wouldn’t have earned nothing if it was not for his English education, how can anyone say they did it on their own?

Because they will not follow the rules. If the rules state you can only enter Spain or wherever by having this that or the other, that's how it is. It is the same with mask wearing, these are still required on public transport in Spain but as soon as English speaking passengers take their seat the masks are pulled down around their chins! One of the main reason the UK left the EU was to take back control of its borders therefore why should British people expect to walk in and out of any country and not follow the rules.

I read posts on here asking for clarity about the entry rules into Spain, but no-one saying that they will not follow them. So you have seen some people, who speak English, pulling their masks down on public transport and that prompts you to say the British think themselves above the law? Sounds like you've got a anti-British bias to me.
