Hi, I was told by get legal in Spain, the UK government had some involvement about discrimination, and that these new figures had been introduced re Scandinavian countries who some are only half in half out of the E.U and not full members, So perhaps if you know any Scandinavians who have gained residency, They might be the people to ask?

Brilliant !

Thanks Pete, your helpful and detailed description of experiences dealing with the Application process have been one that many members have been asking of other members for quite some time now .Your openness and willingness to share your own stages of the process will be very much appreciated by ...

...others.

Best of luck with having your dabs taken next Friday and also in getting your new Spanish TIE a few weeks later  🙂

👍

Thank you Les, much appreciated, yes its been a long haul! and loads of different information, useful and not so useful!!! but I must say the lockdown did not help, I have kept a diary on my highs and lows in getting residency and hopefully post more information later, this will include private health cover, how I got my Padron and Banking, and any other nooks and crannies I overcame or failed, to be truthful I will be extremely happy when I actually have that T.I.E in my hand, then I can really enjoy my early retirement and new home in Spain, my next escapade is to learn and speak Spanish as I have some lovely warm and friendly Spanish neighbours and love their lifestyle,

Ahh Pete, thanks, that would be very helpful indeed. Without sounding patronising, you appear a very genuine and friendly guy. You deserve all the very best of what your new retired life in the sun provides.

👍

Peter,

We sound like we’re both looking forward to the same.

We, like you, will be a lot happier once we have got the TIE in our hands and exchange driver’s license. Only then will we be able to truly enjoy our early retirement.

We’ll also be looking to Learn and speak Spanish..

It can’t come soon enough!

Baz
