The UK has done a great job (I’m Irish) with the vaccinations. My friends in Europe were envying me as I had my second jab back in May. They had to wait until very recently for their jabs. The reason things have slowed down in UK is because so many people are now refusing the vaccinations.

Hi Delber
Surprisingly, if you read the post, no one is disputing the success of the vaccinations. Just the fact that the reported figures are not comparative with the Spain figures because they use different measuring criteria.
However, my sister who lives in England. 2 years older than me, had her 1st vaccination about 3 weeks before mine ( I live in Spain) and her second 6 weeks after mine. With the UK having a 12 week period between vaccinations and Spain having a 3 week period between them.

All depends on wether you think the vaccines are actually any good. Israel lead the way in numbers of vaccines, now ‘95% of Severe COVID Patients Are Fully Vaxed, Vax Effectiveness Fading’ - Israeli Hospital Director
Thanks, Plumber. I’m gonna stop worrying my pretty little head now that I’ve heard that statistics and “flocharts” are irrelevant due to your hospital work. We probably don’t need this thread any more now you’ve sorted it. (That last sentence is half true ;))

Plumber has a point. How accurate are all these statistics ? None of the figures in any country are 100% accurate.

Titled as an "Opinion" (there's the clue!) piece by the article's writer, Zach Heilman, he's a founder member of Red Voice Media, who describes himself as "a serial entrepreneur, online marketer, digital nomad, connector and a patriot." Zach's co-founders, Ray, a former policeman, and Stew, a radio show host, also describe themselves as American "patriots". Not an epidemiologist, virologist or even an investigative journalist amongst them. I've seen some flaky references quoted before, but this is really scraping the barrel 🙄
As for Stew's radio show guest, "Dr. Jane Ruby", and their claims that the SARS-CoV-2 virus has never been isolated, nor its complete genome sequenced, you don't have to be an investigative journalist to expose their lies:

Why would you believe trash like Red Voice Media, when there are multiple, accurate sources of scientific information available? 🤦♀️

They may not be 100% accurate. But at least the rest of the worlds figures would be comparatively accurate or inaccurate. Not 20% inflated first.

If 100% of people are vaccinated, 100% of adverse outcomes are in vaccinated people. You can prorate that according to the percentage vaccinated in Israel.

How believable are the stats from India or Brazil for example ? According to their own figures, India has only 1/3 of population tested (let alone vaccinated), Brazil only 1/4 tested. Then number of infected could be 100% or more deflated.
And what about a Covid death counts if the death occurs within 28 days of a positive test ? What if death occurs after 30 days or longer ?

So lack of trust in the UK government?
