I am with Sabadell for my holiday home, after reading a thread on here or Facebook however, I have just opened an account with Transferwise who not only promise very competitive exchange rates, but a debit card you can use in Spain and the means to pay all your Spanish bills via direct debit, but with no bank charges. I will gradually swap over my direct debits to see how things go until I can end my Sabadell account with its charges.

Our account covers all you need, however they do charge for a second debit card for some reason.  As far as I know it’s just a normal current account, don’t think it was anything special.
