Is it true that the council has said not to use the beaches at the moment?

They are dirty  .and green  some parts looking swampy now I was down on Sunday  beach bars open and parts of the beaches are getting used the sand level has dropped 4 feet in some places  but not closed to be honest I wouldn't feel safe using it just now breading ground for mozzies

Dont forget a few weeks ago there was a large sewage leak in La Zenia. The beach currently has a large lake near thebase of La Mirado. This lake is blackish and smelly and could be largely sewage. Generally the other beaches Roig etc are fine. Campamore also has new river and the sand is across the road preventing close vehicle access.

Have been down to Cabo Roig beach, which is mostly unspoilt and water looks pretty clean. Chiringuitomfully open. Bit of a walk down but all is well on the beach.
