Dog requirements for entry to Spain from Ireland

Hello,

I'm looking for information from people who have travelled with their dogs on the Rosslare to Bilboa ferry.

My 3 small dogs have been issued their pet passports with rabies jabs and are all micro chipped. They are booked in with the vet for a check up the day before we leave Ireland. They have muzzles (that they hate) for the ferry.

Is there anything else I need to provide for the Spanish authorities at Bilbao port? What time can elapse between the final health check and entry to Spain? Any links or advice would be appreciated.

Hi Liam ,

We have done the journey many times with our dog . As long as you have the pet passport with all the shots given they will not request anything else . There is no time limit . Remember you have to do the same here before returning to Ireland .

I have the passports done. Do you know what length of time can elapse between the final check and entry into Spain?

I think they say 48 hrs but they never check .As long as everything is up to date with the passport they are happy .
