I want to go but there are no real explanations/rules so you can know if you will get past border control. were trying to buy a house- i think its a good reason to travel but i dont know if it is by law!  nothing is available to read what is allowed and what isnt.

May be I was lucky  but if I was you I would get as much paper work as you can. I would get a solicitor's  letter stating that you have a meeting with them a letter from the estate agents stating you also have  meeting booked with them. The spainish liove paper work so the more you have the better. But it will always come down the person on tbe desk it he let's you go through.

Good luck Colin

The following is definitive.

Coronavirus (COVID-19): declaration form for international travel - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Entry requirements - Spain travel advice - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Property purchase is not a reason for being allowed into Spain, although it will let you out of the UK!

I would say Colin got lucky but so have some others. It's a risk. It seems travel via France is safest as its easier to get into France and little chance of being checked entering Spain. BUT you never know what might happen on the way requiring someone to check your paperwork.

Hopefully things will change 1st June for entry into Spain.
