There are references on this forum to several insurance brokers, so just do a browse or search.

Once the car is in your name, you'll receive notification when car tax is due.

We come under Orihuela and have two cars - the tax on each is ~€50.

You'll need a periodic ITV (MOT). Try to get a car which won't need the ITV renewing too soon.

The biggest potential problem is getting the car into your name. In Spain you have to pay transfer tax and then a fee for doing the transfer. Again there's some good information on the forum.

I'd recommend buying from a dealer who will do the transfer for you, and include the costs for this in the purchase price.

Good morning,

Road tax (in spanish impuesto de circulación) use to difer from town hall to town hall but mainly depends on the engine size/horse power.

Insurance premiums are also based on enginze size & horse power but other factors such as age, any or named driver condition and current no claim bonus reflect on rates too.

Saludos
