We always used Goldcar at Alicante airport. The first couple of times they gave us the hard sell for extra insurance which we refused as we have our own excess cover policy. Now they don't bother.

We're thinking about trying Wiber this time as prices have almost doubled. Does anyone have experience of them?

Do they have a desk in the terminal or do you have to go outside to find the transfer bus first?

Do you get the hard sell for extra insurance?

We use wiber all the time , they are excellent, no hard sell, bus takes 2 minutes to their office

I've used Wiber several times and always found them excellent, plus no ‘hard sell’.They are offsite which has the advantage that you aren’t queuing at a busy rental desk in the airport. Another advantage is that you can upload all your details in advance, including photos of your driving licence & passport & these are stored for future visits.

You can pay extra for a ‘smart box’ system where your booking number is scanned & your car key is produced, without any need to go into their office. The contract is then emailed. Prices rise for high season but they have offers plus a discount if paying in advance. Website: www.wiberrentacar.com.
