ryanair refunds for cancelled flights

Good morning

I received notification that my flight has been cancelled by Ryanair. They ask do I want a refund, and when I attempt to get a refund, it

first tells me the reservation number i am using is wrong (it isnt) and then a lot of time, it tells me try later. I have been trying since last night.

- probably 40 attempts.

If ANYONE has managed to get a refund from Ryanair- please let me know.

If not , i will just have to reschedule the flight...

I've had the same this morning but I am not going to do anything. I tried the online chat yesterday and it was swamped. Flights are being cancelled all over the place with many people trying desperately to get home. I can't see it being any easier leading up to the date of the cancelled flight but as Ryanair have cancelled the flight rather than me, I will get my money back at some stage. Not that I want to change my booking but it seems quite pointless now anyway as nobody knows when normality will return.

...t as Ryanair have cancelled the flight rather than me, I will get my money back at some stage. Not that I want to change my booking but it seems quite pointless now anyway as nobody knows when normality will return.

my flight is March 22nd, and I am anxious that if i don't get the refund before the 22nd, will I not receive it....

If that was the case

then i may as well reschedule ( it would be better than losing the money)

This is the first thing that came up on my google search

As its not the airlines fault, no compensation is due but you are entitled to a refund and I don't believe you have to claim it before the date of the cancelled flight as the airline have cancelled it.
