The majority of responses are in the negative , and I can be added to that list.

Admin take note or risk your Forum falling into disuse !

I agree with all of the comments above.

I'm certainly not having a go at the admins but just observing what I think is the downward spiral of the forum.

Since I joined a couple of years ago I have seen a decrease in the people who always posted very regularly.

I have said this before but as a non resident holiday visitor I find these news items interesting. I only view the forum posts via the end of day email summary and only ever see about half a dozen news items, certainly not the 60 mentioned above?

Who is Alex?   I, like several others, just do not get all these sort of items.

Agree it can be a nuisance, but you can scroll & only pick the topics you are interested in, but it might be useful if you could select more than one topic.

Alex is the forum Administrator.

Kind regards,

Ah, Kimmy11, I think that I now understand.   Jan is the ‘owner’ of the site - I originally didn’t realise that there is an Administrator for different areas of the site.   The only one of the Administration team who I know is Jim of Jim’s Guides fame!

All you have to do is scroll through them if you don't want to read them.

It's a bit like, when people complain about a TV programme.

Just change the channel .

If it generates some money for the forum. Good for them.

That’s how simple it is, nobody is forcing anybody to read the news links - just by-pass them, it’s not difficult?!!!

I haven't said it was difficult (3 exclamation marks😁)

Just my opinion like many others that it's a forum for healthy debate like this......not a news site.
