Can anyone suggest Company for buildings & Contents Insurance, I have been given a quote by Bank but was wondering for recomendations

If you have a holiday home then this is a good insurance as you can phone them in the UK and it's a British company. Much cheaper than bank insurance and more convenient than Spanish insurance. They also auto cover earthquake damage which strangely Spanish insurances don't generally do.
We came away from our Spanish bank insurance a few years back as they were debiting money from our account each year with no notice and without telling us the renewal premium in advance. We had to give them 3 months notice in writing (not email) and it was difficult to get out of.

I have just taken out contents and buildings insurance with Schofields in the UK - much cheaper than bank quote and they have loss adjusters in Spain so you sort out any issue in the UK. Also had quote from Intasure who were still cheaper than bank but more than Schofields!
