Again, more details are required on the moving and job front. The most important being your nationality and passport held. Also your age but I assume you are not over pension age which is important for health cover.

Rentals long term in that area anything from 450 euro a month and up depending on how close to the beach but average looks around 550 plus utilities.

Most important is where you are from as rules for those from EU countries and non EU countries vary considerably.

If you are from a EU country (including Ireland) then no problem as you can come over and look for work straight away. If from outside the EU (including Britain) then it would be virtually impossible.

Here are a some websites that may have some helpful information:

gov.uk for information about moving abroad.

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff, including  visa, income and health cover requirements.

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   The website, and their Facebook page, is for English speaking people and is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil.   The website also has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.

As I am retired I do not know the full work situation, however I do know that unless you are fluent in the Spanish language then it will be difficult to find something.   I also know that even for indigenous people the job situation is a difficult one.

It mostly depends on which passports you both hold?

If uk passport holders you can't just move to Spain permanently without some sort of visa,  in your cases you would need work visas. You would both need to have contracted job offers to which your prospective employers would need to get you work visas from the Spanish consulate in the UK.

All available work in Spain has to be offered to an EU citizen first by law.

If you both do not hold EU/EEA passports you will require a visa to live in Spain. Visas must be applied for at the nearest Spanish Consulate to your current location. This link will explain how to obtain a visa:

This link will take you to the EURES job portal where you can browse all jobs currently avaiable throughout the EU/EEA including Spain:

Another difficult question to answer, Depends on age, any pre existing conditions, report from GP and so on. Anywhere from 40 euro a month to 200 euro a month.

If you look at some of the insurers' websites you can get a quote straight away.

Once you have been here legally for a year, you can apply for the convenio especial which puts you on the Valencia NHS which covers everything except prescription costs. That costs 60 euro a month if you are under 65 but then goes up to 157 euro a month over 65.
