Hello All ,quick introduction  I am currently purchasing property on Calle Niagara (Avalon) after just one visit to the area however this is after two years of watching place in the sun and decades of visiting various  locations throughout Spain  , with luck i should have the keys before my next visit in January 

The plan is to use as a holiday home with the intention of retiring within 5 years 

Previous to my purchase i have been keeping a close eye on properties which seem to sell on fast in Playa Flamenca and also prices which again seem to be rising , I do feel like i have got in at the right time especially with current exchange rates 

Looking forward to meeting and having a drink with some of the forum members

Hi just buying property in playa flamenca. Hoping people are friendly . This forum is a great idea . So February i am hoping to be there and enjoying my early retirement there . Fingers crossed

For those 'newbies', two sites that may give more official information are as follows:

Re bureaucracy:   Citizens Advice Bureau Spain

Re driving:     N332 website which is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.

Mirror image of myself, we were looking in Calle Niagara at beginning of October ourselves and ended up purchasing at El Barranco, just over the motorway near the IES school. Let's hope it's exciting times ahead, best of luck.

We also did exactly the same as you did a lot of research and hooked on Place in the Sun ! We bought in Punta Prima during our first visit to the area and could'nt be happier. Its just holidays for now and then decision time as we near retirement. Good luck with everything
