Hi

There is a good market in San Miguel every Wednesday.  The Olive Tree holds a quiz every Monday.  There are plenty of bars and restaurants and also a good medical centre.  San Miguel town is very near La Zenia Boulevard for shopping and restaurants, Villamartin Plaza for bars and restaurants which are about 9 kms from San Miguel town. We moved to El Galan which comes under the San Miguel District in October and love it here in Spain.  Me and my husband Malc are having a great time.  We are both in our 50's and like pub quizzes, dancing and walking.  If you would like to meet up for a chat and a drink we are always looking to increase our circle of friends. Hope your move goes smoothly!

Best wishes

Jan :)

We bought an apartment in San Miguel 2 years ago. There are a lot of British residents we only use it as a holiday apartment at the moment although I am retiring this year so plan to spend more time there although unfortunately I have a toyboy husband who will still be working!! To add to info the New Tavern in San Miguel has entertainment Wednesday & Fridays and has curtesy bus. The tapas run in September during fiesta went to 26 bars and restaurants so there are many and I have still to visit some. There are supermarkets and even a British shop. We are out again end of June so message if you would like to meet up
