This happened to us, we went to a solicitor and paid last 4 years, need to get it done, cost us 600, ring SGM in Benijofar and ask for Grace she sorted ours out….. don’t know why they don’t tell you about it…. Hope this helps

...you did.i have herd that when you sell it they may fine you and get the tax then.i feel i may get arested when i go to the airport appreciate a reply.
I was always told that it was charged a year in arrears. Has to be paid. Don’t expect a Facebook lawyer advise you. Ask a solicitor.

Ok sorry for jumping on but how do you know if your paying it everything I have is don’t be direct debit. Who do u contact. Xx

Hi Angela,
Either you, or an appropriate professional, would need to complete the Modelo 210 Non Resident Tax form and submit it to the AEAT (Spanish tax office), so are you paying a gestor, or your lawyer, to do it on your behalf? The deadline for payment is by the end of December each year, unless you rent out your property, in which case, tax returns must be submitted quarterly.

I was responding to the original poster and advised Stirling to contact a lawyer.. There was no mention in the post of a lawyer.

Not really sure why you didn’t know, or how you were oblivious for such a long time… but absolutely get some professional advice in the first instance. It’s not something that can’t be sorted.

If you haven’t had a bill for it you probably aren’t, check with a lawyer

YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR NON RESIDENT PROPERTY TAX THATS IT. ALL OWNERS HAVE TO PAY IT.
CONSULT MR MANUEL SANCHEZ PARDINEZ LAWYER TORREVIEJA AND HE WILL DO THE BUSINESS. HE IS AGREAT LAWYER DO NOT APPROACH TAX INSPECTORS THEY WILL CRUCIFY YOU. OK.
