With all due respect Villas, fly spray doesn't work. I've even poured agua fuerte (acid) on them and they've still been alive an hour later. It's brutal, but burning them is the only option. You need to get rid of the toxic hairs and that's the only way.

Any advice is good! but with regards: Richard080943. Agree!

If you find an " line"off to bury themselves in the ground, ready for next "harvest".readying for this years, the simple fly-spay in many years, "stopped them in their tracks!". Most, I find, are still there. dead. Bury them.  There are many remedies. The less than better for 2021. (before they "off" themselves to Brexit themselves!)...... sorry.....meant "bury themselves"

You’ve had some good advice given on here Chris, In my case when I found a line on the ground heading towards mine from a neighbours...keeping my distance I poured petrol on, stood back, and then chucked a lighted match on and that did the trick. Not saying do that, but it worked for me. Basically keep your distance, don’t get them on your clothes or skin or inhale near them. Hope you get it sorted!!

It's general purpose auto grease - the thick stuff. They sell it in tubes for grease guns. You can get it at the co-op or any feritarias.
