It is everyone's business when Covid is on the rise again in the U.K and the E.U. If you have symptoms like a persistent dry cough etc, then surely you should check it out. After all look at the many lives lost because of this dreaded disease.

How do you know she hasn’t checked it out 🙈

And I’ve actually apparently got it atm, having tested yesterday because my friend whom I see frequently texted to say she’d got it. I have virtually no symptoms and would have been totally unaware had she not let me know. Yes, of course I’m staying in the house for five days, before anyone shouts at me.

However, I realise that it is due to the vaccinations that my symptoms are negligible, and I do not seek to diminish the undoubted tragedies and personal losses etc and am grateful for the protection of the vaccine. But I’m not very good with hyperbole and handwaving and a certain kind of perceived right to interfere ‘for the public good’. It’s a short step from that to victim blaming and the installation of citizen officials to oversee the populace with all that that entails.

If they are not the owners of the house it's possible they don't know how or where to get help locally. I had a bit of a hoarse cough a week or so ago and the pharmacy suggested a tablet named Rino-Ebastel and told me that there was a few customers who had complained of a similar cough recently. I bought a pack of seven tablets, took one a day as prescribed and it did the trick within 5 days ..... good luck..

If they arrived last week, presumably they are not completely helpless, having negotiated airports and airlines and subsequent ongoing transport, even at the advanced age of over 60. I’m over 70 and pretty sure I’m not useless yet.

I feel sorry for you and suggest that you move into a different bedroom and use some earplugs. That’s like Chinese torture. My husband has started snoring all night long and it’s hell to me. It wakens me up and I can’t get back to sleep again. Thankfully, he’s attending an ENT consultant ...

...and has been advised to use a nasal bath regularly..the result is impressive. Last night, not a sound!

Back to your problem. It’s very likely that the female could have covid as I know of people who caught it travelling to Spain and travelling home too. Another couple caught it when travelling by ferry and they endured serious coughing fits

Covid is rife again and many people either don’t realise they have it or choose to pretend they don’t have it. The guide lines are that we stay at home for 5 days. Don’t even need to test ourselves in order to leave home. The neighbours arrived at the weekend so hopefully she’ll be getting better by now. Failing that, buy a bottle of good cough mixture and call with them to enquire how they are. Wear your mask   They May both be poorly and have little or no food in

Be a Good Samaritan , it could be you next. I sincerely hope not but please see if your neighbours need some help or advice.
