Hi

I am thinking of driving down to Spain and bringing a few pre owned items from our house in the UK to put in our property in Spain. I understand that since Brexit, there is now a requirement to complete customs (UK Export & Spanish Import) documentation. Has anyone ever done this or do you know of anyone who would do this for you? Its only a couple of chairs/ a rug /mirror and a few small sundry items.

Thanks Steve

Set up an inventory stating appr. value for each item and declare as "used household goods". For Spanish customs provide proof of change of residence.

We did it last year with car although we have a van and had done several trips prior to Brexit without any problems. We chickened out last year cos of possible import costs and loaded up car to trial it. I did 2 lists of used personal belongings, english and Spanish with fair 2nd hand values on but in reality, they weren't looked at, just asked if we had a pet and then waved on. There is a personal tax fee allowance of €430 each of goods entering Spain and our list came to €800.Although lists not looked at still felt at least we had something to challenge with, also a print out of Agencia Tributaria(tax authority) stating the duty free allowance. There are many differrent threads on this subject, so research them on forum to give you more insight.

Regards

Pauline
