Coming down in September, via the tunnel.

We have regularly come down via car through the Tunnel but not this year.

Can anyone who has travelled down confirm the differences and time taken going through Customs at the tunnel.

What checks are made re foods (meats and dairy), are we on to bring sandwiches, or are the checks that strict?

We arrived in Spain Sunday evening via the tunnel and obviously France, very quick at the English boarder, at the French they wanted to see the vaccination certs and passports, had sandwiches with us, in our cool box was cheese, bacon, butter, no checks either side, no checks at Spanish boarder what so ever, just drive through, maybe it’s worth taking the chance, as I would not of minded if we had the items confiscated. Lovely journey.
