Hi, I am still looking for a good quality bed sofa, I am in Torrevieja and ready to buy the right one! 

Looking for advice. 

We have had an offer accepted on a property we love!! 

Our agents want us to pay a deposit under the reservation contract which our lawyer has advised us against until he has done his dugilgence. (I understand paying a deposit is normal practice, but our lawyer has said the deposit goes to the vendor and not to the agent) we are obviously going with our lawyers advice, we can't afford to lose deposit. We are in catch 22 as the agent is not sending the information required to our lawyer, until the deposit is made. 

Agent has good reviews and we do not want to walk away from the property. 

Anyone had a similar experience?

can you explain the water charges.    We bought mid November and stayed for 1 week and a direct debit went out of 19,95 euros at end of November.  We have not been there since and we turned water off both inside and the mains water outside.  Another direct debit of 95 euros has just gone out today. Am I right in thinking it’s an estimate?  Do they do readings every month or is it a couple of times a year.  I don’t speak Spanish so I can’t really speak to anyone.  Can I have some advice please.  Much appreciated.  Thanks Joun 

Our solicitor obtained 2 new padrons for us at a cost of 30€ each.

Today we had the first appointment in Alicante for the TIE's,but just found out I have been given mine back,but my husband hasn't?

My query is...each Padron is exactly the same,with both our names on,so do we have to have a separate one each anyway?

I would like the missing one back,as we have just paid 30€ for it.

My gas supply is by IBERDROLA, and I additionally pay 8,92 euro per month for a gas maintenance pack, which I presume covers any emergencies, problems, and servicing. I rang them from the UK wanting to remove this from my contract, but was told I cannot do this as by law I have to have a yearly service. I could arrange for another company to do it, but it still needs doing yearly. I live in the UK so it’s difficult to arrange servicing, but the lady at IBERDROLA says the service is done externally to the property, so do not require entry (I only have a gas water heater anyway, and gas hob). Can anyone say if this is correct? ie, my yearly “service” is done remotely as it were, and I am therefore abiding by legal requirements. I never receive any paperwork to say it’s been done. Thanks.
