With the crisis expected to last for many months and even into next year the implication must be that the Dec 31st. deadline will be extended.

How do we find out offiically if the 31st Dec will be extended - we're worried we won't get over in time to get Residency now.

The extension of the 31st deadline is twofold. Firstly it must be obvious to everyone except the very stupid, including the British government as Dominic Raab dismissed the idea completely the other day, that we will have to extend the Brexit negotiations.

Secondly the Spanish may take a humane, sensible view to extend the date for the administration of applications made before the deadline.

I agree, it only seems logical to move the deadline....however this is what's worried me

"Prime Minister Boris Johnson said earlier that Brexit was not being discussed much in his Downing Street office at the moment, given the demands of the response to the coronavirus crisis, but he had no intention of moving the deadline."

As in the 7.43 this am update!  Bloody Boris!
