One day maybe we'll be able to use What3words as an integral part of our addresses.

My heart sinks when I am informed that the delivery will be made by DHL, only recently I ordered something from the Range in the UK, all was going well, DHL tracking was telling me delivery was due 9th Sept, only for me to check the next day to see DHL had decided the address was incorrect ( it w...

...asn't) and they were sending the package back to sender, after numerous phone calls they eventually realised the address was in fact correct and the package was delivered the next day.
We have had SEUR tell us so many times our address is incorrect, it usn’t, Amazon have sent us things via Prime and they arrive no problem. I just don’t understand SEUR, in one communication they say Item damaged returned to sender and then a communication saying customer has changed delivery time, both referring to same delivery. SEUR seems to operate in total chaos.
Contact the SEUR depot and we were once told there are 8 depots in this area which one do you want? How the hell do i know? Then told if you don’t know the depot we can’t help you.
We had a problem with SEUR despite providing GPS and a detailed route to get to us as satnavs send everyone up an impassable track and still got told our address didn't exist despite it being exactly as per Padron. We ended up having to collect the tumble dryer from their Elche depot which is on a busy road with very limited parking. We were lucky we had a big enough car as they told us that until we could provide a valid address they would not consider delivering.
Everybody has difficulty finding us but if all else fails they ring us, not SEUR.
Marks and Spencer's couriers are the only ones who have got straight to us with no GPS or directions and at the time and date promised.

I'm willing to bet they looked at the address, looked at the item and just blanked the whole idea.
They know my address, they know my phone number, 3 times I've waited in all day but they haven't bothered to ring my bell. Maybe the quality of service varies from depot to depot.

Re my PM, I think trying to have a tumble dryer delivered to a PO Box could prove slightly problematic!

Thanks but I was thinking smaller scale, any large items we will try to collect ourselves in future but I didn't know about the PO box alternative on Amazon so I will give that a go to see if I have any luck especially now I know the correct way to put the address. Maybe a decent toaster for less than €169!

I think that may be a fair assumption!

The only company with which I have had problems regarding delivery from Amazon has been SEUR. Their driver apparently could get no reply, even though I had waited in for 2 days for their delivery. I have had to go to their office in Almoradi to collect my packages. Every other method of delivery, delivery companies, Correos, etc., have had no trouble.

As in the UK, in Spain, Amazon have Collection Point Lockers at various locations (such as the nearest to us at Dos Mares.) For small deliveries they are ideal. Perhaps you can select this on the Delivery Options section of your Order. Of course this will not work for larger items but is worth trying for smaller orders
