Then I guess we are different. Personally I have never knowingly broken a law, especially one brought in in extreme circumstances to allow an economy to reopen whilst keeping people safe

My point is that Covud 19 ,has given certain people ,what they feel is a right to meddle in others affairs ,As I've said here in the past ,the less government interference in my life is better for me ,just back from 3 days in Granada yesterday and saw many rules being broken ,me I let them get on with it , you Guardia civil everytime Governments are human ,although sometimes hard to believe, there err as well ,not everything they introduce is a Eureka moment

Hi aitch

Surely we’re not moving to a position that we’re not believing what a member posts without “independent evidence”?

The OP didn’t mention it was an Irish bar, just that he felt the mother’s remarks were “racist”

Why should we not accept his account without question?

There have been some very obvious fairy stories, in the past admittedly, posted on the forum, that were accepted without question.

Regardless of topic, should we not just accept the OP has posted a truthful account of his experience? 🤪🥂

Hi Ange,

I did say they were my thoughts, others can accept as they see fit.  I would prefer to see more than one account before deciding that this particular bar was guilty as charged.

Aitch.

I have been reading posts on this forum for a while, this was my first.  Like many people I asked a question about how to report something. Others have used it for instance to ask about where to find flow tests etc.

I have the evidence thanks and you can see it on TripAdvisor.

Hi,

I could not find it on Tripadvisor, I did find it on Google and Facebook, where they get ratings of 4.7/5 and 5/5 respectively but nothing I could see on Trip. Can you send me the link.

There is a big difference in asking about flow tests versus your post.

Aitch.

Hi Aitch,

It seems to have disappeared from TripAdvisor, so it will be going back on. You will have seen it on Google reviews though.

I have not left it on FB

Hello John, there is a very nice saying: Your Liberty To Swing Your Fist Ends Just Where My Nose Begins. Other people's freedom to act irresponsibly ends when they find themselves within my spitting distance. It's very simple. I think it's normal to take action if others threaten the safety of you or your friends/family, especially when laws are broken at the same time.

PS: it's incredibly hard to read your comments, I'm afraid, so sorry if I misunderstood you.

John, you can learn more about that saying here: https://quoteinvestigator.com/2011/10/15/liberty-fist-nose/ :)

Taking the post I am quoting as an example, what makes it hard for me to understand:

  1. There are many typos.
  2. The (mis)use of commas hinders understanding (e.g. the first two commas in the first sentence should not be there).
  3. Using a comma instead of a full stop.
  4. Not using a full stop at all (where does one sentence end and another begin?).
  5. Not using capital letters at the beginning of a sentence (see above).
  6. Using ellipsis so much that it prevents understanding (e.g. I have no idea what you are trying to communicate after "and saw many rules being broken").
  7. Jesus, there is no space BEFORE a comma.

What does political correctness have to do with understanding a poorly written text? I did not mean it as an insult or an attack, I was simply stating that it's hard for me to understand your messages. English is not my native tongue. A little respect, please.
