Hi Jim,

Your residencia guide was the key to my getting my residencia last year, and you're now the only source  of advice I trust!

Unfortunately my partner was stuck in the UK with his parents at the time as he'd lost his passport, and we're only now in  a position to seek residencia for him. Should I assume the requirements are currently the same as per before end Jan?

We're in our forties,so need evidence of income etc.

Thanks in advance.

Kerry

Hi

Could I ask if you used someone to do this for you and if so how good were they.

Could I also be cheeky and ask how much you were charged.

If your husband is working here on a contract and paying into social security then three months of that will qualify him for residency.

I'm not sure about wife and children - there's so much to read up on that I've kept my focus on retirees.

Hello

We hopefully will be applying for residency in September. We are both retired but not of official pension age, what proof and how much income do we have to have. Also as a couple with a joint account what is needed to be shown.

Thank you

I answered that question re finances in this thread by my reply on the 7th March.

You also need privaye health insurance that meets residency requirements.

Hello were looking to move out before December this year, with regards to long term residency can we apply for this before we have somewhere to live? Iv heard we need the residency in order to get a long term rental?! Or can we rent somewhere then apply for the visas etc?

You will have to rent 1st then apply for residency.
