I changed 6 direct debits recently from a Sabadell account to an eu based bank account in Ireland.

They were immediately accepted by all 6 Spanish companies including Hidraqua, Avatel and SUMA.

There is no problem changing to an eu based bank.

...er, my lawyer is trying to sort out the rejections by other spanish authorities for direct debits.  It is strange as iberdrola requested and accepted DD from wise for solar panel installation, but rejected it for electricity bill and rebate for electricity i put into the grid from solar panels can only be paid into Spanish bank????  It does not make sense
