I cannot believe previous comments about Brits from Brits what is going on here? I am a proud second home owner for I6 years,love the Spanish people,culture and try and speak Spanish and am not a Brexiteer!All our neighbours are Spanish . There are many like me I am am sure who are really looking forward to getting back to our house and seeing our friends.Please do not stereotype with views based on media reporting with their usual spin. I might add that it has been medically proven that the UK was infected by Spanish ,Italian and French strains of the virus! We have all been through this Pandemic and indeed are still going through it. We must all work together and recover to normality and stay safe.

I understand your anger, but I don't think Buzzby or Mary were directing their comments at all British, just the "morons and cretins" who, unfortunately, are not a fabrication of the media.  No-one needs to read tabloid spin, when a picture speaks a thousand words.

I agree that it's not helpful for nations to 'blame' each other and suggesting that Britain's "strain" of Covid-19 came from Spain, France and Italy is another example of that - Covid-19 came from China and, in my opinion, the world should be pulling together to hold China to account.  As for counting infections and deaths in "all settings", I would suggest that Belgium's figures are probably the nearest to accurate, as they are the only European country which has been counting in all settings from the beginning.  Social care settings have not been counted accurately in many countries: France didn't start counting Care Home deaths until 3 April, Spain started on 10 April and the UK didn't start to include them until 23 April.

Like yourself, there are many other holiday home owners on this forum who are sensible, responsible people; some have said that if Spain had mandated a 14 day quarantine for foreigners arriving here, they would happily stay in their Spanish homes for a 14 day holiday.  Although I live in Spain, I have family and property in the UK that I would like to visit, and I, too, would have to comply with the UK'S quarantine period.  But, actually, you and the many others desperate to get to Spain are much braver than me - the last place I want to be is on a plane! 😷

I hope you're able to get over here as soon as you want to; in the meantime, stay safe.

You reap what you sow ! I am getting so tired trying to explain anything to people anymore. They ignore science,  they ignore doctors, they ignore expert opinion based on empirical data and scholarly achievements on almost all levels - economic,  environmental,  philosophical,  artistic, etc etc etc.

I feel your pain!  But how can you expect the whole of the British population to understand how to behave, when the very people who make the rules, break them?  Many British people have done exactly what was asked of them, but a minority of selfish fools - your morons and cretins ;o) - are ruining it for everyone else.  The shocking part of this is that their behaviour could result not only in their own death, but the deaths of others.

Yes Kim you always speak great knowledge. I don't obviously have all the answers but apparently most British people voted this Government in with a stomping majority from regions also in the north of England that would consider voting Tory treason. I suspect many generations of these good northern people are turning in there graves for voting this shower of evil into government - hey let's never underestimate the malevolence of PR , marketing and senior advisors trained by the kgb to manipulate people. Actually it's really easy and continues to dominate every country.   What we should be doing as we understand the emerging facts is hold the official to account and act accordingly so that the public don't get so easily manipulated by rich political parties. Also the media need more training and need more regulation and training and paid less money to sell trash and fake news. That might be a start ? Who knows ? Well said why are we all being treated the same. We also have just purchased a property there and very disappointed on the views of the Brits. My family and everyone I know has lived by the rules not seen some of our families for months. We hope to come soon and yes we will abide by Spanish rules and consider other people.😮
