Yeah, that’s what they do Steve, there vaccinations process is all over the place, thus the slow roll out,at least the uk could see this coming long long in the distance and poured cash into it and got the top uk scientists onto it. Even the formula 1 team of Louis Hamilton was involved getting respirating devices invented. You have to hand it to the uk honestly as they are streets ahead of Europe, but folk are still dying daily all over the world,so I hope the uk get everyone finished for July, and then send on there vaccine to others,I would certainly think Spain is the first place the uk vaccine will go to,as our airlines have a lot of business there,so I think it’s looking very good for Spain especially mate.

Here is a brief update on anyone concerned for friends or relatives in the uk on vaccine uptakes. The uk is bounding ahead every day getting people vaccinated, with well over half the population already done, and this month is mainly being second doses. They are 3 days in front of there target to ge...

...t the whole population finished for July. There maybe a booster jab that may be needed later on. All shops, hospitality, airports etc are online to open for good without any restrictions from then on,which will make the uk ,one of the safest places to go to in the world along with the US,ISRAEL,and AUSTRALIA.Many countries in the EU have been slow to vaccinate and maybe unable to bring in tourists, unless they speed up there vaccine roll out, which we all hope that, that happens. At the minute no one is allowed in to the uk and has to stay in a hotel for 10 days at there own cost of over around £1,500.
Hi James. I don't think this info is quite correct ! Certain countries are banned from entering UK. Philippines , Pakistan etc. Some are on the red list which is Brazil etc and people from these countries have to pay for quarantine in a hotel. Spain is not on the red list at the moment. On entering UK from Spain you need the relevant Covid tests and a reason to travel then you have to quarantine for 10 days. This is not in a hotel. You can quarantine at your destination.

2 points to make. 1 is that the EU had their chance the same as the UK to buy the vaccines on the open market and make contracts with Astrazenica, Pfizer etc but no they messed up. Now they're blaming the UK for taking all the vaccines. The EU was too busy trying to thwart Brexit to order vaccine...

...s ! The vaccine rollout has been excellent in the UK . My friends were emotional at the service they had. 2 is that part of the trouble has been Macron and Merkel's rubbishing of the Astrazenica jab without any scientific backing. Even if Spain had got the vaccines their rollout of the vaccine and will to get everyone vaccinated would not have been half as good as the UK. I don't think you should blame the UK for the EU failings.
Yip sounds about spot on to me.....as the spitfires do a victory roll over Brussels maybe.....

Whilst I agree mostly with you, I'm not sure that I agree that the UK should send their vaccines to Spain ! Yes perhaps when everyone is vaccinated and they have a big surplus. Would the EU have sent vaccines to the UK if it had been the other way round ? The EU have behaved in a despicable way to UK with regards to vaccines. If UK has any surplus they should go to poorer countries !
Spain were the first country to offer Britain’s holiday makers the safe guarantee, that if they came to Spain and took ill,Spain would look after them free of charge! + All of the uk folks that own holiday homes are looking to get back to there properties ! We will help the poorer countries along with the us,Canada,Israel, but the uk is NOT in the eu anymore and thus benefitting Spain is of benefit to Spain and the uk Eileen,Spain needs every bottle it can get its hands on at the minute and I for one, hope the uk offer Spain as many bottles as they need Eileen 👍,remember we are not in the eu anymore and could hand this vaccine to anyone, the uk has been treated in my view very badly from Brussels, who were threatening to cut the supply off,but just stopped short of saying that they forgot they need the uk for a part of the stuff to make it ! That then would stop the whole roll out of that one certain vaccine Eileen.

Wonderful. Quote of the day. Along the lines that when the 40 gun salute was carried out by ships of the Royal Navy in the Channel on Prince Philip's death, Boris had a call from Macron to surrender just in case !

There are so many errors of fact in this last handful of posts, I don't know if I can be bothered to correct them. Unfortunately, it's this kind of blind, nationalistic pride that doesn't help anyone.
Hello
Well said Kim, I'm in complete agreement with you , so much wrong info. & no links etc to back any of it up....some of it had me just shaking my head !
Cheers
El.

The UK dithered at first and that cost a lot of lives, then there was the cronyism which meant a lot of taxpayers money went into the pockets of friends of the government, yes we're doing well with the vaccine rollout but to suggest the EU didn't invest in vaccine development iis disingenuous. The F1 team did turn their expertise to use and deserve praise as do the German government who sent ventilators to the UK, I really don't like this us against them mentality especially when the "them" in this case are hosting thousands of us.
