Hi thanks for your recent comments we are not there in our apartment since last April and all electricity switched off as no consumption at all but bill remains 70€ we are really very annoyed as don't know how they charge there bill and take not actual reading.

Hi again, this could be interesting had our place since June 12th and had electric bills from Iberdrola for €90 so far, emailed tonight to get copies and why we are being charged every 2 weeks

I'll keep you all in touch

It is all on the bill,if you go on Iberdrola's website it has a specimen bill in English and from that you can see what you pay,it's doesn't say they charge every 2 weeks,we have already got our solicitor looking in to it so as soon as I get a copy of the second bill I can see what's going on

Thank you hope you can get to the bottom of this, as it seems they can charge what they like.

Thanks

With a heated pool that could very well be correct. Try turning off the heating for a month a see what happens to your bill.

Check your Tarriff with Iberdrolla - they have a few o[ptions which may be nore suitable/cheaper!

Also I noticed that Fenie are a much cheaper electricity company for Torrevieja

Hi all,

I’ve found all your comments really interesting. We have a 3 story town mouse in Monte Mar. We have 3 aircon/heater units and if these are on aircon and we put a hairdryer on, the electricity will blow. I want to look at getting a better system in which won’t do this. Anyone know how much monetary difference this will make and if it will solve the problem?

Thanks you

I paid 60euros for a supposed upgrade in electricity supply with Iberdrolla - a total waste of time/money as it made absolutely no difference whatsoever!.................if indeed the request was actually actioned in the first place!

Spain will never have the Tariffs that the UK has so I think it's probably best to just stick with what you have!
