HELP!! I have beening trying for 6 months to change bank details for my water account. It is a holiday bungalow and the water company Hdraqua s.a. I have telephoned and I quite understand they could not understand me and I do not speak Spanish and I was ringing from England, I have written to them with details of the change as I am closing the bank account as I am selling my share in the bungalow so there is a new account for the other share holders. If I stop paying then the water will be switched off. They received all the details as I had the letter posted proof of delivery. I have just checked account and they have taken the money out, completely ignoring my letter.

Obviously I would like to be able to email but they will not accept my details and to try again so I cannot get passed that section. I am at my wits end as tohow to get the details changed.

I really would appreciate suggestions of how I can make contact and get the account changed. I really do look forward to your positive replies.

Many thanks.

Hi Jean,

It's usual when you sell a property in Spain for the buyer's lawyer to change all utilities into the name of the new owner.  I understand that you're selling your "share", but presumably this was still done with the benefit of a legal contract?  In which case, you should ask the buyer to chase up their lawyer.  This may also help:

Kind regards,

Kim

I had no trouble changing my DD details on their website but you must first register yourself with your NIE number and a password, contract number and address also needed

Many thanks Kim. The form you directed me is unfortunately the one I cannot access as they will not recognise my details!!!

Thanks any way, much appreciated.
