Thank you every one who replied to my question to windows 7.  It seems I may have overreacted as I thought Windows 7  would be non existant after January 14 so l will wait and see what happens.

Windows 10 is a pile of c***p.   Designed only to sell more computers.  Try and avoid it if you can.   I regret switching to it.

That's true for the ordinary user Ray, if their computer will take the upgrade. 

For me, I've got W7 configured exactly to my liking, and I'll stay with it until my PC dies.

If you end up with Windows 10 be sure to turn off all the telemetry and opt out of as much as you can. Also turn off using your machine to be a windows update server.
