Ask the car hire company, by email if possible, if they say yes then print it or screenshot to show if you get stopped. If not then they would waive any extra charges, no?

If you are returning the car on the way to the airport I wouldn't see a problem but I do have a complication. Because they only allow a 27 day contract max and I am here for 31 days, I had to book two contracts and have to return one and take another maybe even the same car!! I had asked them before the restrictions whether I could just keep the car and they said no the rules don't allow it.

I have therefore emailed today to ask if they will allow it now in view of the lockdown but as yet have no reply.

Yes I think we are similar as we have another car booked thru a different company (record Go) which wife intends to drive back to our house on the Urb . We have our residency . We to have emailed and hoping for a response . Be good to keep in touch

Thanks
