Hi, As far as I know, NO. (unless someone else knows different).
There is quite a lot in wasp information on this forum. There are wasps always looking for water. A method I found successful was a situated fountain away from the pool. The wasps seemed more interested in the water feature. ( a tiny drop of washing liquid,(on the feature, breaks the surface tension & so get wet!)

They are a nightmare....
There is no chemicals as was mentioned.
Wasps are very territorial so an easy method you can try is putting some fake wasps nests around the pool area which will detour them.
Another option is diesel, not not in the pool hahah
Wasps love diesel, make a bottle trap with diesel and catch them.
If all fails, put another water feature somewhere away from the pool and track down the nests....they are never too far away.

I love those. How innovative. The fake nests (don't they make their own?) Chinese shop fake wasps?..... Traps to attract wasps?. Fountain.....I'll stick with that one! Villas

Maybe you have misunderstood......
The wasps go to the pool for water, you put a fake nest up they will not go to the pool due to the territory being occupied by another "nest".
Traps to attract wasps, you would not attract wasps from all over, just the wasps that have built a nest in the territory in the vicinity of the pool.

No, it was(p) tongue-in-the sting! A good idea. After 20 yrs, I've not heard of that one, everything's a try! Still pool free & the fountain goes to the feature. Thanks. Villas

As previously advised, squirt some washing up liquid in to the pool and the wasps will drown. As Spanish wasp nests only contain about 20 wasps then the problem will go away pretty quickly.
