Yes.friends inAlmoradi, arrived home after shopping to be told that a locksmith had been trying to change the locks but looked through the window and saw signs of occupancy. Apparently the landlord had renaged on his loans and the bank decided to repossess. Our friends had no idea of this but we'...

Thank you for sharing, hope your friends are ok, now, can be very scary when things happen and you are in a different country.

How awful for you, who is doing this? Is this related to the same person as in 2020. Do you have squatters who have changed the locks?. In 2020 did you find out who was responsible? What a nightmare for you, hope you get it sorted quick. What about neighbours, don't they see what is happening?&nb...

Its a really quiet area and there are load of locksmith stickers about on peoples letter boxes. I knocked on someones door but she said she hadnt seen anything. Area is quiet and seems really deserted. Use to be really busy. Im wondering if other peoples properties have had their locks changed and whos given this authority for this to occur

This is not Normal at all. Have you purchased the property Legally ? Sounds like the previous / owner has done this.

Its a family property Steve but my mum and dad passed away. Everything went through a solicitor. Still makes you wonder though?

Hi Jenny.  Sorry about all the problems with the locks. But, I am puzzled.   To change a lock ,it is, I believe, necessary to open the door/gate to have access to the lock fittings.. Is the property rented out ? Or has anybody else got the keys of the property ? They would be the p...

Whose name is on the deeds, yours or your parents?

Is there a mortgage on the property?

You really need a conversation with your solicitor to make sure that ownership has been transferred correctly and appropriate taxes have been paid.

I keep telling people get an NVR with 4 cameras for 200 euros, Amazon etc, it comes pre configured and you just mount and connect to your modem to get alarm on movement, it also records for evidence. Essential if you dont live permanently. You can add another 4 cameras, moving ones you can shout  BANDITOS POLICIA to frighten them off.
