Hi I work in the UK selling luxery lodges and caravans which I have been doing for 15 years

I have lived in Spain 20 years ago and want to work in Spain again

Are there any jobs selling caravans or marina berry sales

Many thanks

If you are a UK Passport holder and want to work in Spain permanently you would need to have a work visa. To gain a work visa you would need to apply for and be offered a full time contracted position.  Your prospective employer would then need to apply for a visa on your behalf from the Spanish Consulate in the UK.

All available work must be offered to an EU citizen first.

Hi thank you for the reply

I do still have my social security number

Would this allow me to work in Spain or do I need other papers as well

Many thanks

Sorry David,

Since Brexit you need to become a fully fledged legal resident with NIE and TIE card and a permanent contracted position to be able to live and work in Spain, unless you are retiring here but that's another story.

Thanks Steve.

This is going to be harder than I thought

Would the same apply if I was to buy a business in Spain or just as difficult

Many thanks

To buy or invest in a business you'd have to put in at least €500,000.

I don't think that's strictly true, if he get's his TIE first there's nothing to stop him then buying a smaller business.

Is it easy to get a TIE number with just my Spanish social security number and passport

I was in Spain working 20 years ago

It's only easy if you have proof of sufficent funds to cover your living expenses, I'm not sure how much it is now for non EU nationals, failing that you'd need an EU passport which you could get if you have an Irish grandparent.
