Most of your water bill is made up of standing charges and will include drainage, sewage treatment and refuse collection. These charges are paid quarterly in advance so the bill you paid in January was from 1st January to 31st March and the one you (and I) have just received is payment up to the 30th June. €64 sounds about right per quarter.

Thanks Shaun. Just found the hidraqua app, so hopefully when I’m over tomorrow I can set it up when I get the ref number from there letter. Then I can keep an eye on things.
