Yes I to have got to sort contents insurance, but looking at doing it through my Spanish bank as it might reduce the banks yearly fees they charge me? As for building insurance I feel this is covered by the community insurance?

Insurance through the Bank is more expensive than with a Company often with less cover, a careful assessment of reduced Bank fees against increased insurance cost would be needed. Also, be very careful if relying on Community Insurance as cover will not apply to many aspects of your properties building insurance needs.
