Hi, having worked for both Avalon and Golden Leaves I can confirm they both offer repatriation to the U.K. in the event of a death.

I would contact Steve Rowland at Golden Leaves.

https://www.goldenleavesinternational.com/plans/golden-plan/?country=spain

Hope that helps.

(And for all the cynics on here, I’m not getting any commission, I know from the years selling funeral plans in Spain the agony this causes especially when people don’t speak Spanish!)

I have always thought that if I die in Spain, I'm Dead, have me cremated and return me to UK if they want to in a nice small package.

I want a direct cremation anyway, the calibrate on me in the pub.

Job done, and this removes the worry for people left behind

Adios

Try travel insurance company... if you are under 59 they will cover you i think. (Maybe your older from what you said) But they are called ‘Battleface’. Find them on the internet and phone them for advice 👍😎

I haven't read through the details.

If you are not resident, you are not entitled to a SIP. Some health centres would give them out to cover ongoing treatment , more for their own convenience than anything else, but they all now seem to be refusing to renew them.
Some specialist insurers will still cover you but any pre-existing...

... health conditions will impact the cover available. None of them will cover you for trip cancellation.
Hopefully none of this will be needed!

I'm a non resident and I've had a SIP for years ??

You are not entitled to it.

My husband went to the health centre in La Mata years ago when he was unwell. We queued for some time, eventually called, handed in the EHIC card and was given a red SIP card valid for 3 months or it may have been 6.

Surly this is still available until the UK finally leave the EU or they may negotiate continued reciprocal arrangements.

Different things altogether. Are you also on the Padron because that is illegal if you are not a resident?
In the link I provided, note the use of the word "resident".
