Hi i would appreciate an answer from someone not linked to this industry please. What speed broadband do you need to stream tv effectively and do you have any recommendations? Holiday home payg type contract. Thanks ruth

I have 6mg PAYG with TV Horadada . I have no monthly contract just pay for the days I want in advance of me going
I can always stream movies via my Kodi/Firestick
2mb should be enough to stream non HD and 6mb for hd.

Hi,
We initially had 10mb and we found our programs slowed up/stopped at peak times etc so after much debate we upped it to 15 mb and for the last year it’s been perfect!
We receive upwards of 1000 channels and get all pay per view , latest movies , sports etc and catch up!
Hope this helps and good luck ! Bear in mind also that it’s only a couple euros a month to add to your service so I would suggest start low and see how you get on?

Upping your maximum potential speed may be a solution in some cases but it's not necessarily a reliable indication of actual performance during peak times and is certainly no guarantee.
Unfortunately that's something you only discover by experience.

As a supplier of IPTV I have to tell you NONE of them are totally reliable if you look at the UK for instance there 6 major players where you are within a 10 mile radius you probably 20 it is very fragmented and wether you are on fibre from 30-100mbs you will get issues it's the nature of the beast I used to sell INTERNET now I will no recommend any because of all the above. I have 2 systems in my house because I have to have 1 that works.
They say the truth hurts and yes it does. Ask your neighbours they will tell you better than some ones friend from one of the suppliers.
