Hi Everyone

My Samsung Galaxy phone is making annoying beeping noises at 20 minutes interval. Does anyone have any idea how I can disable the sound please. I'm a 73 year.old technophobia and staying her alone. - I'm also finding it impossible to switch this off as 2 'knobs' have to be pressed simultaneously (I have a tremor).

I appreciate any advice. Thanks very much for your help.

Julia

It's a long time since I have owned a Samsung. It sounds like a notification reminder. To turn it off, press settings, then notifications, go to the bottom og the page and press notification reminder and press or drag the little switch at the top og the page to the off position.

Do you really mean at 20 minute intervals because that does not sound like a notification, normally they would come randomly?

On Samsung phones notifications normally bring up an icon on the status bar at the top of the screen which you can swipe down on to see in detail. Also you can see which apps have sent notification recently by going Settings/Notifications. When there under that list touch "See all" then untick the apps you do not want notifications from.

Nothing to do with notifications requires two buttons to be pressed simultaneously, what or where is it telling you to do that?

Personally I find notifications one of the most useless and irritating factors on phones, just about every app wants to send you them but 99% of the time they are totally unnecessary and simply an annoyance so I turn them all off except those which I specifically want, which is precious few!

It's a feature with some Samsung phones. It sometimes turns on after a system update. It will repeat for ever if you don't turn it off.
