There is no such thing as an 'extra powerful' LNB, at least not outside of a manufactures supposed spec sheet.
Some make claims of noise figures (the only thing which really matters) of .6dB or less but they are fanciful and practically not even physically possible in any consumer product but in any case less than around 1dB will make no difference anyway.
Furthermore you cannot compare any two products on noise figures unless the testing methods are stated and identical and that they never tell you so that super dooper LNB you bought because it claimed .4dB - but was tested at the one spot frequency at which it may have come closest to that - could well perform far worse than another which honestly claimed a maximum of 1dB across the whole frequency band.

And adding to that, i personally find the tecatel 125x135cm dishes perform much better and are more robust than the famaval "high gain" 1.4m dishes.... (why "high gain"? Do people also want "low gain" dishes?)

Thx for the info regarding the "extra powerful LNB" and the high gain dish - Perhaps I am being fooled by some Installers wording - I assume they are trying to win the order over others ;)
