Travel Insurance for over 90s

Hello

My Mum had an apartment in Spain for over 20 years and loved it. She sold it in 2018 and I bought a house just before the pandemic started. She has not been to visit since 2018 and is planning to this year. However she was hospitalised in January 2022 for a month with respiratory problems and I wondered if anyone had good experience of travel insurance and could recommend a company to contact? We know it will be expensive but will pay for the security and peace of mind for travelling. She is relatively well at the moment and will be given a clean bill of health to fly.

My Mum was with Saga into her late '80s and they were good, with real live people doing customer support rather than machines. But that was a few years back, so I don't know if they are still as good. Might be worth a phone call?

I wanted yearly travel insurance I’m 74 so I rang and visited insurance company.

Cheapest I found was 410 euros, if you find cheaper please let me know.

They also told me to use my European health card.

Thank you. They are all expensive for her some won't cover her so we are going for Saga which is expensive but worth it if she is ill. We cannot take the chance.

Thank you. Going with Saga. Expensive but woll offer peace of mind.
